Wacky Wednesday – Lost and Found

Breast Cancer isn’t really very funny. Parenthood, however, I will admit can be really really funny. And I do try to laugh at myself as often as possible. When you combine That Girl, That Guy, and My Girls, you get a pretty Wacky life. When I was a child, probably when I was learning to read, one of my favorite books was “Wacky Wednesday” by Dr. Seuss. Since we constantly talk about how wacky my oldest is, some Wednesdays I will be sharing what I think are pretty Wacky stories, quotes, and silliness from our lives. Enjoy!

You guys, That Baby is walking. It took a bit. She teased us here and there. She has seemed ready for well over a month. She would take a few steps and slowly sit down in the most controlled manner then just lean forward and take off crawling. Now it is legit walking. Everywhere and anywhere she puts her mind to and takes off toward. Oh and one other little tidbit. She is into everything. I mean obviously, it is part of the age. What isn’t part of the age is how much she likes to help and clean up in her own unique way.

If you find yourself at our house sometime soon, please don’t be surprised to find scotch tape on the bathroom counter. Just happens to be where I found it when I was getting ready this morning. That Little Girl must not have put it away when she was done and That Baby relocated it. Such a little helper.

In packing a lunch, That Guy opened a kitchen drawer for a little plastic bag. What else might you find in that drawer? Generally we keep the plastic wrap and aluminum foil wrap and paper lunch bags. Those sorts of things. And then of course my day glow coral running sneaker. Obviously. Thanks, kiddo! Exactly where I would have looked for it.

One thing that is great about That Baby is her recognition of the routine these days. One night she even reminded me to take her in for teeth brushing. She is very cooperative and already worried about her pearly whites. That Baby also likes to follow That Little Girl into the bathroom they share. Where That Little Girl collects toothbrush and toothpaste varieties. That is a story for another day, but let’s just say it is a “whatever it takes” type of deal. So That Baby has her choice when she follows her big sister in. She just reaches up to grab a couple different tubes to then turn around and charge ahead with one in each fist. Her latest obsession, relocating them to the refrigerator. We have a french door refrigerator. Something tells me she has a little (big sister) help with this one, but we find the baby toothpaste on the second shelf and a second type in the yogurt drawer. It is like a where’s waldo of oral hygiene.

Currently we have a few in demand items that are MIA. If you stop by and see my favorite sunglasses, because right now all I have is an empty case, or our living room remote, a reward is being offered.
